“Very different experience then other scholarships.  Getting to know the donors on a more personalized basis.”

I am honored to say I was the first recipient of the Joel F. Glover Memorial scholarship. I am currently a senior majoring in Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno. My plans upon graduating the university are to attend PT school. Being a physical therapist is my dream because there is nothing more rewarding than helping those in need.

Being a first generation college student can be a struggle. I have had to search for ways to live my dream and make it to the university on my own. I am truly grateful for my scholarship donors. There is no way I would be where I am today if it wasn’t for them. I truly admire the foundation for giving low-income students such as myself a chance to make a difference in our future generations. Like the foundation, I hope to one day give back to my community and to be an inspiration to other students who may not have the resources to attend college.

With the help of the foundation I am well on my way to living my dreams.
